Buyers Protection Plan
The Buyer’s Protection Plan costs $45.00 per bird, providing both non-registered / registered buyers and sellers with general contractual purchasing protection, including additional protection against the sale of stolen birds. AvianPro also provides buyers and sellers with an optional ESCROW service for transactions where parties live in different states, adding an extra layer of security and peace of mind by safeguarding financial transactions. Before finalizing any payment for a bird purchase, complete the Buyer’s Protection Plan form below. Once we receive your submission and payment, we will email you a step-by-step guide and a Avian Transaction Contract, specifically designed to safeguard both the buyer & sellers interests during the transaction.
After completing the step-by-step guide and submitting a copy of the Transaction Contract to us, we will conduct thorough checks using the Australian Avian National Database of registered breeders, registered birds, and lost/stolen birds. We will also verify non-registered sellers through Government identification verification platforms. This process includes cross-referencing the sellers details with the DNA Profile, leg ring ID, and microchip ID of the bird offered for sale, ensuring authenticity and security for the buyer.
Once all checks have been completed, we will generate a detailed report indicating whether the bird being offered for sale is by the rightful owner, and if the bird is registered as stolen or not. Additionally, we will provide a seller feedback rating based on a sellers recorded breeding history and past sale transactions. Furthermore, a Family Tree will be generated, displaying all known relations of the bird.
AvianPro guarantees buyers, that if the Buyers Protection Plan report confirms that a bird is registered as “Not Stolen”, they are protected against any loss due to a police seizure, should the bird later be identified as stolen—provided that the buyer has correctly followed the step-by-step guide.
In the unfortunate event that a bird is seized due to being identified as stolen, AvianPro will compensate the buyer for the replacement cost of the bird, ensuring peace of mind and financial protection.
